What a line-item BOQ gives you
A bill of quantities lists every item in your house — with its brand, grade, quantity and rate. It turns a rough budget into something you can read before you sign, compare between contractors, and use as the yardstick every later bill is checked against. It can also be the basis of a bank loan estimate if you need one.

Quantities rounded up, rates a little above market, material billed but never unloaded — no single line looks wrong on its own, and nobody on site is paid to check. We re-measure the work on site and check every bill line by line against the agreed BOQ, with the workings shown to you and the audited figure ready for you to approve.
We never handle your money
You pay your suppliers and your contractor directly. We check the rates before you commit and the grade on delivery, but nothing is purchased through us and no money passes through our hands — which is exactly why our opinion on a rate is worth anything.

Can you prepare a BOQ from the drawings I already have?
Yes. Bring an architect's set, a sanctioned plan or a contractor's sketch. We read it, tell you what is missing or unbuildable, and measure the BOQ from it once it is sound.
Is this the same as quantity surveying?
Yes. Measuring quantities from your drawings, pricing them and checking them on site is quantity surveying — we do it for you, the owner, independently of your contractor.
Will you tell me if my contractor's quote is too high?
Yes. We compare your contractor's rates with the market item by item and show you where they are higher, so you can negotiate on facts.
Can I get BOQ preparation on its own?
Yes. BOQ preparation is available as a one-time service, and it is also included in our supervision plans as the yardstick for every bill.
Do you buy materials for me?
Never. You buy directly from your supplier. We only check the rate before you commit and the grade when it arrives.
