Hire a civil engineer for your house construction in Chennai — on your side, every working day.
Your contractor builds the house. Our site engineer for house construction in Chennai stands on your site every working day for you — checking the work against the drawings, testing materials, re-measuring every bill and sending you the day's proof on WhatsApp by 7 PM. You stay the owner, not the supervisor.

Why an owner needs an engineer of their own
Most people building a house in Chennai are not construction people, and the trade knows it. The contractor's engineer works for the contractor. Nobody on that site is paid to question a quantity, a rate or a shortcut on your behalf.
That is the gap we fill. We don't hold your construction contract, we don't buy your materials and no money passes through us — so there is nothing for us to gain from a bill going unchecked. Our only job is to make sure you get what you are paying for.
What construction site supervision covers, every day
- Checks the work against your approved and structural drawings, and flags gaps in writing
- Signs off steel, cover, shuttering and levels on a pour card before concrete arrives
- Casts concrete cubes and has cubes, steel and waterproofing lab-tested to schedule
- Checks brand and grade on every delivery — any substitution needs your written approval
- Logs progress, headcount and deliveries the same evening
- Tracks the dated milestone plan and flags slippage the day it begins
- Logs every defect with a photo, a responsible person and a date, and closes it back to you in writing
Bill audits and payment approvals — before you pay, not after
Every contractor bill is re-measured on site and checked line by line against the agreed BOQ, with the workings shown to you. A stage closes only after it passes inspection and its quantities are verified — and only then do you approve the contractor's payment.
No advance goes to your contractor before the stage it pays for has been inspected and measured. That is the money we are protecting.
Everything reaches you on WhatsApp
You don't need to leave work to stand on site. By 7 PM each working day you get a dated progress note with photographs. Stage sign-offs arrive with their checklist and defect list, and every bill comes with the audited figure for you to approve by reply — dated and searchable for as long as you own the house.
From the first call to handover
- Day 0 — a free site visit: an engineer walks your plot, reads your drawings and tells you plainly what your build needs
- Day 1–2 — the plan, scope and fee in writing
- On signing — your engineer is named and introduced to you and your contractor
- Week 1 — BOQ, budget and a dated milestone plan fixed with you
- Every day — checks before money moves, and the day's report by 7 PM
- Handover — snag list closed, documents handed over, then post-handover defect inspections
What owners ask us about daily site supervision.
Do you build the house, or only supervise it?
We only supervise. Your contractor builds; our engineer represents you against that contractor. Because you pay us — not the contractor — there is nothing for us to gain from a bill going unchecked.
How often is the engineer on site?
Every working day, Monday to Saturday, on an active site, and at every critical stage — reinforcement before a pour, concreting, waterproofing and each material delivery. The day's report tells you when they were there and exactly what they checked.
Do I need to change my contractor?
Only if you want to. In most cases the contractor stays and simply starts working to measured quantities and written specifications.
What is building construction supervision?
It is an engineer checking the work on site against the drawings and the agreed specification while the building goes up — materials, workmanship, quantities and schedule — so problems are caught before they are covered and bills are checked before they are paid.
How is this different from my architect's site visits?
An architect's visit checks that the building follows the design, usually at a few milestones. Our engineer is on site every working day, checking workmanship, materials and quantities, and auditing every contractor bill before you pay. The two work well together.
Which areas of Chennai do you cover?
Chennai city and its suburbs — Anna Nagar to OMR, Ambattur to Tambaram, ECR and beyond. For a plot outside that we will tell you honestly whether we can serve it properly.
How is the fee worked out?
It is quoted against your built-up area, the number of floors and how long the site will run — a fixed figure, in writing, after the free site visit, billed monthly in advance. It is never a percentage of what you spend.
